I've always been drawn to characters in oversized hats – they look so soft, so cosy, like they're about to curl up for a nap. This little figure started with the beanie: the ear flaps, the colourful square decorations, the pale purple headband with its pink star. The rest of the design followed naturally – the soft yellow face, the simple button dress, the tiny round feet.
