Bears have always been one of my favourite subjects – they're soft, cuddly, and instantly comforting. For this coaster, I wanted to create a bear that felt like a warm hug, with a gentle smile and the sweetest pink accessories. The pearlescent shimmer was a last‑minute inspiration – it adds a hint of magic, like sunlight catching the surface of a pink pearl.
The layered borders were designed to give the piece a sense of depth and delicacy: the soft pink backdrop, the structured checkerboard frame, and finally the irregular scalloped petal edge that softens the whole silhouette. I love how the colours work together – warm beige, soft pinks, and gentle greys – all blended into a cohesive, dreamy design.
