The lotus petals were the most satisfying part to design – layering greys and whites to create soft highlights and deep shadows, letting the jagged pixel edges mimic the texture of a brushstroke. The dark centre with its scattered light grey dots is a quiet nod to the lotus seed pod. It's a piece that asks you to look closely, to slow down, to find the calm in the greys.
