🧡 A Note From the Maker
I've always been captivated by the grandeur of ancient Chinese court dress – the elaborate crowns, the flowing silk robes, the quiet elegance of a lady of the palace. This piece is my attempt to capture that world in pixels: a young maiden dressed for ceremony, her crown gleaming with jewels, her gown spreading wide like a flower in full bloom.
The crown was the most challenging part to design – layering gold, cream, and silver beads to create a sense of intricate metalwork, with tiny red, blue, and yellow gems tucked into the branches. The gown was equally complex, with its multiple tiers and soft beige shading to suggest the folds of silk. And the face – the face had to be soft, gentle, and warm, to balance all that grandeur with something human.
Every finished piece is hand‑fused by me. Every kit is sorted with care. No machines, no shortcuts – just beads, patience, and a love for the beauty of ancient China.
