When I designed this Hello Kitty clock, I wanted every single number to be a little moment of joy: a different Kitty at every position, each with its own outfit, expression, and personality.
The 12 o'clock star with a Kitty face inside was a fun challenge – it sets the tone for the whole clock. The other 11 positions gave me room to play with accessories: red bows, lavender clips, tartan scarves, party hats, pumpkin frames, koi frames – each one tells its own tiny story. The blue butterfly at the centre was the perfect anchor, its white patterns echoing the pixel aesthetic while letting the hands move freely through it.
